This Week: Constitution Day and More!

Celebrating Our Nation’s Foundational Legal Document

Constitution Day is September 17th, and it celebrates the signing of the U.S. Constitution by the Constitutional Convention at Philadelphia on that day in 1787. Each year the College of Law hosts a lecture honoring the Constitution and this year’s will be presented by Kenya Faulkner, Vice President for Legal Affairs and General Counsel at UC and Lauren Hunter, Assistant General Counsel at UC. Both will address “Race-based Admissions after Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin.” The case is again before the Supreme Court. The event will be held in Room 114 at the College of Law.* Please stop by the Marx Law Library this week for our companion display about Fisher.
