On September 7, 2016, Dean Emeritus Bilionis joined Professor Bryant, Professor Houh, and Professor Williams for a panel on four major rulings from the last SCOTUS Term. The panel was hosted by the Center for Race, Gender, and Social Justice.
Dean Emeritus Bilionis delivered a presentation to the faculty and staff of Georgia State University College of Law titled “Fulfilling the Promise of Legal Education: Professional Formation in the American Law School.” The presentation, given in November, 2016, was a part of Georgia State’s “New Frontiers in Legal Education” Speaker Series.
Dean Emeritus Bilionis delivered a series of lectures on American Constitutional Criminal Procedure and Criminal Law at the Law School of Southwest University of Political Science and Law in Chongqing, China, during October 2016. He lectured on “Wrongful Convictions of the Innocent: Why They Happen and How to Reduce Their Likelihood,” “Capital Punishment in America: At a New Crossroads,” “Racial Injustice and Police Practices: A Crisis of Legitimacy,” and “Privacy, Technology, and Police Investigations.”
Dean Emeritus Bilionis delivered a presentation on “Professional Formation in the American Law School: Fostering a Change in Culture” at a faculty workshop at Baylor Law School in Waco, TX in October, 2016.
