Professor Michael E. Solimine published Institutional Effects on Reciprocal Legitimation in the Federal Courts, 70 Vanderbilt Law Review En Banc 105 (2017).

On June 12, the U.S. Supreme Court decided Microsoft Corp. v. Baker, 137 S.Ct. 1702 (2017), involving how and when a plaintiff in a civil suit in federal court can, if it all, immediately appeal a decision of a trial court denying the plaintiff’s request to certify a class action. The Court cited one of Professor Solimine’s articles three times. That article is Deciding to Decide: Class Action Certification and Interlocutory Review by the United States Courts of Appeals Under Rule 23(f), 41 William & Mary L. Rev. 1531 (2000) (w/ Christine Oliver Hines, ‘99).
