On June 12, the U.S. Supreme Court decided Microsoft Corp. v. Baker, 137 S.Ct. 1702 (2017), involving how and when a plaintiff in a civil suit in federal court can, if it all, immediately appeal a decision of a trial court denying the plaintiff’s request to certify a class action. The Court cited one of Professor Solimine’s articles three times. That article is Deciding to Decide: Class Action Certification and Interlocutory Review by the United States Courts of Appeals Under Rule 23(f), 41 William & Mary L.
