Professor Vazquez’s article, Crimmigration: The Missing Piece of Criminal Justice Reform, U. Rich. L. Rev. 51 (2017), was featured on ImmigragtionProf Blog and CrimProf Blog.

Professor Vazquez presented her article, “Words Matter: The Politics of Race and Identity in Crime and Migration Policies” to the faculty at Ohio State Law School.

In May, she presented a book chapter, Enforcing the Politics of Race and Identity in Migration and Crime Control Politics, at Georgetown Law School. This book chapter will be published in the book entitled, Race, Criminal Justice and Migration Control to be published by Oxford University Press in 2018.

In June, she gave a talk at the Law and Society conference in Mexico City, Mexico. Professor Vazquez presented Crimmigation as Global Control on a panel discussing Crimmigration and its Global Impact.
