  • Professor Solimine is receiving one of the University of Cincinnati’s highest recognitions. Later this spring, Professor Solimine will receive the Faculty Career Award. The Award recognizes the long-term achievements of faculty members in scholarship, teaching, and service.
  • Professor Solimine’s book, Understanding Election Law and Voting Rights (Carolina Academic Press 2016), co-authored with Michael R. Dimino and Bradley A. Smith, was published.
  • Professor Solimine’s book, Ohio Civil Rules Practice with Forms (2017 edition), co-authored with Judge John W. McCormac (ret.), has now been published by LexisNexis.
  • Professor Solimine published an essay, “Retooling the Amicus Machine,” at 102 Virginia Law Review Online 151 (2016). See: http://www.virginialawreview.org/volumes/content/retooling-amicus-machine.
  • Professor Solimine on September 29 introduced and moderated a presentation on the Electoral College by Pepperdine Law Professor Derek Muller, sponsored by the UC Law Federalist Society.
  • Professor Solimine and Professor Tomain presented a Colloquium on Political Gridlock, Elections and Democracy on November 2, sponsored by the College’s Center for Race, Gender, and Social Justice.
  • Professor Solimine was quoted and his scholarship was mentioned in two articles in United States Law Week: Kimberly Strawbridge Robinson, “Snookered” Supreme Court Pushes Back in Billion Dollar Antitrust Case, 85 U.S.L.W. 671 (2016), and Kimberly Strawbridge Robinson, Five Things You Didn’t Know About the Emoluments Clause, 85 U.S.L.W. 702 (2016).
